The paper trail has begun! Adoption isn't for the faint of heart... or for people extremely concerned about saving trees. We love trees, but we love babies more!
We have completed round one of three in the paperwork world. Of course, the first round was by far the easiest. It gained us approval to pursue Libby.
Round two consists of several documents to complete our homestudy. Since we had a homestudy completed when we adopted Clay, ours just needs to be updated. You would think that would make a big difference, but actually it only cuts out one form. It does, however, make the job of our social worker much easier. I would guess we have about 25 documents complete and maybe 10 to go. We meet with our social worker next week, so hopefully we'll have it all done by then!
Round three will be the most intense. It will involve gathering necessary documents for our dossier, which is the document we'll send to Libby's country. Every document must be notorized and then appostilled. Good thing summer is almost here! This paperwork is a full time job!
Who are the Super K's?
Thanks for checking out our blog. We are a family who desires to passionately follow Christ and His calling on our lives. We have chosen to live out our faith through adoption. Why? Because He first loved us. We were chosen by God to be adopted into His family. We believe orphan care is commanded by the Bible and God has equipped us to be an adoptive family. Our redemption through the blood of Christ is all about unconditional love and sacrifice. Adoption reflects these themes on a level we can understand. We are blessed to be the hands and feet of Christ though adoption. We are currently in the process of bringing home our fourth adopted child for total of 8 blessings.
